Too Dark for Spring?

 Outfit

• Dress: Loft
• Sweater (3/4): Not sure
• Coconut wedges in black
• Big Necklace

So I wonder if this is too dark of an outfit for spring.  Then again I do wear a lot of grey and black.  Perhaps I could have done a bright cardigan but I never think of doing that because there is no color in the dress other than the black lace detail at the top - hence I matched the black cardigan to that.

Sunglass Decision Time

I am trying to buy myself new prescription sunglasses.  What do we think of these Wayfarer ones?  I dont know if they are me... plus they are an arm and a leg from LensCrafters.  Does anyone know any place good to recommend getting them cheaper?  I really like BJ's and Costco...but the selection is limited.  Someone recommended this online website that lets you try on five to pick the one that is right for you - but their selection is too small (www.warbyparker.com/).  

I also like Aviator style....but would that look good on me? Thoughts?

May Day

I know, I know - May 24 and the last time I posted was a few months ago.  My apologies.  Work got busy and well work is what pays the bills for me to buy these new clothes so I had to focus on that.

Today's Outfit
- Limited Plaid 3/4 shirt - note the band around the waist and arms
- NY & Co Black skirt - the back has quite the slit.  Well it isnt high but there are 2 slits so I feel like I have a mini back door, similar to what dogs pass through (DO NOT HAVE A DIRTY MIND THERE) - it is true though
- Black wedges... how come wedges for the summer have usually cork or beige strawlike material for the wedge part.  I feel it makes it less dressy.  Why cant it just be black - or would that look odd, I dont know my thoughts on this.
- New Tiffany Key Necklace from Kelly-Beth!! Thank you for the lovely bridesmaid gift - it's classic style :)

Last week

Is this too casual?

So I think I need to change my lightbulb...

So I thought these pants were more brown.  They actually are an olive green.  I thought my shirt was more burgundy - its pink.  My cardigan or sweater is the color I thought it was.  The scarf - sadly has burgundy not pink.  What was I thinking? Did it even match?

Also, are these pants too old lady like? I think they are...

I apologize to my few followers that I forgot yesterday.  It has been quite busy here!

• Sweater - a very old NY&Co that I probably should donate as it is too small
• Black stockings
• Black shoes - Dressbarn - can't tell if they are cute or not

I also tried a different hair style - pulled back and curled some side pieces- thoughts? Can you even tell?

So today is my where's waldo outfit.

• Red and white striped v neck cardigan (Forever 21)
• White short sleeve shirt (Kohls)
• Really really old black dress pants - I think they came with my first suit that I ever got in college
• Skinny black scarf - not sure if I am wearing it right
• Black shiny beaded necklace with circle sparkly thing (Laila Rowe)
• Black Pumps - the usual (Nine West)

I also tried a different hairstyle.  I tried twirling my waves, who knows how it will look by the end of the day thought.

feeling green

Is a cardigan professional enough to wear to work? Part of me thinks so, other part of me not so sure.  What do you think?

• Necklace - no idea, but I really like it since it is more metal-like (bronzes) - just wish I had earrings that matched better than gold
• Navy pumps (Nine West of course!)

I also went with the low ponytail - is it professional enough?

Another day with a hole in the tights

Despite realizing on my way to work that I had a hole in my tights, I really did like today's outfit.

• Burgundy dress from Loft
• Off white 3/4 v neck cardigan from Kohls - with a little flower on the side that I really dont care for
• Necklace: NY&Co
• Brown tights
• Brown buckle shoes - do you know where they are actually from? Kmart - who woulda thought?

Wednesday is Grey Day

Today's Outfit...is...grey. Very Grey.

• Grey long sleeve turtle neck shirt with those weird ribs, not sure if it is out of style, is it?  It is from Old Navy and kind of stretchy and doesnt keep any shape.  Uck I dont know if I should donate this one.
• Grey pants from Bass (I know, not quite in my age range)
• Black crocodile texture pumps (Nine West of course)
• White tank top underneath long sleeve shirt - is this not appropriate?  I feel strange not having one because of the weird texture of the outer shirt.
• Necklace from Laila Rowe (Once again, I got tons of compliments!)
• Strange black, white, and grey dangle earrings that I arent a huge fan of but they match
• Hair was pulled back in one of those clippy things/clawlike things - is this also not very trendy?

So I guess I am not totally in love with today's outfit.  It just wasnt that great nor comfortable.  But how does it actually look?  Do I donate? Do I keep? Do I rewear ever?

Friday Half Day Fun!!!

Today it snowed.  A lovely 2-3 inches of white snow covered the ground.  Since I was not in the mood to have the bottom of my pants wet, and since I have realized that it isn't until day 2 of snow that the ground gets gross and muddy and brown - I felt that going for a dress with boots would be the best bet.

Funny Comment of the Day

My coworker asked if I was actually wearing a pin or broach.  That she hasnt seen someone under the age of 60 wear a broach and I was the first.  We both got a good chuckle over the fact that yes I am wearing a pin.  Love the comedy today!  Although this sounds sarcastic, I am being truthful/honest.

Oh by the way - most of my outfit is from Loft today.  That very rarely happens for me.

Day 2 of the new year

When I woke up today, my thermometer said 10 degrees outside.  At work, we are getting new front doors so at times we have no doors or they are opened causing a constant draft. I also knew I had an off site meeting and would be walking in the frigid cold.  Thus I chose my outfit today based on warmth.
